Our Organization
The Dog Savers is a non-profit corporation that was founded in 2019 by a former volunteer of Maricopa County Animal Care and Control that is committed to saving dogs from being put down. The Dog Savers networks and saves the most urgent dogs in Maricopa County that are on the E-list.
“E-List” means “Euthanasia-List”; Euthanasia is when dogs are put down.
Using social networking and paid advertising, The Dog Savers raises funds to network these most urgent dogs out of the shelter by finding rescues, fosters and/or adopters, including providing funds for the dog’s training, rehabilitation, socialization, medical care, and boarding. Consider helping our community with small monthly payments or make a one-time donation by using the secure PayPal options at paypal.me/thedogsavers
Some of the Lives We’ve Saved

Amy has always been a passionate animal lover. She became a volunteer at one of the largest county shelters in the country. As a dog walker, it saddened her tremendously to see good dogs placed on the euthanasia list. These dogs were sweet, kind and loving, and she felt they deserved to live. Fortunately, social media gave her an avenue to help network these dogs effectively.
Years later, countless lives have been saved due to her tireless efforts and the constant “race against the clock”. Sadly, at levels out of her control, overpopulation and overbreeding keeps shelters chronically at full capacity on a continual basis. With no immediate resolution to stop these dogs from being euthanized, Amy, now a former volunteer, continues her efforts to save those precious souls that have no voice.
